Biography

Monique Lynelle Gray, was born in Hartford, CT, and grew up mostly in Philadelphia, PA, the youngest of three children, one sister and one brother. Monique Lynelle is a Producer, Director, Writer, Author, Actress, TV Show Host, a Contemporary Gospel Artist, and an Entrepreneur. Her company Dynamic Destiny Enterprises and Productions, LLC officially named in 2018, was formerly Dynamic Diva Enterprises in 2012, where Monique Lynelle authored her first book My Journey at 30 and recorded her first song Learning Me. Monique Lynelle authored A Teen's Guide to Succeed in High School (2012), and Blessed in the Midst of the Storm (2015). Monique Lynelle's music projects consist of Love of the Music (2013), Get Lifted Up (2016), and I'm Still Blessed (2017).

Monique Lynelle completed her first screenplay The PK's in 2016, and the documentary entitled Monique Lynelle's Journey in 2017, which aired on DCTV in 2017. The PK's is still in production and filming started in 2018.

Monique Lynelle completed her Master’s degree in Entertainment Business at Full Sail University in 2014. She is currently a Government Contractor, an Independent Beauty Consultant, and a Doctoral student with various completed classes in Human Services. Monique Lynelle also received a Bachelor’s Degree from Temple University in 2012. She has an Associate’s Degree from Central Texas College that she received in 2008, and became an Active Duty Army Veteran as of 2009.

In 2013, Monique Lynelle won a chance to have her song “Unconditional Love” on the Valentine’s 2013 TuneCore Artist Compilation CD in February 2013.  She will be featured in the “Silverback Season Da New Breed Edition” DVD & Mixtape” by Showtizzi – Supa Flyboys CEO spring 2013. 

As a member of DCTV, Monique Lynelle became a certified producer in May 2016, and her class’s work aired on DCTV’s shows Student Exposure, and Studio 901. She completed her certification as a TV producer in 2016, and then completed the editor and videographer courses in March 2017. Her television productions consist of The Monique Lynelle Show which aired for the first time in 2017 and Monique Lynelle’s Journey – The Documentary aired in 2017. She worked with In The Community, Inc., ITCTV (In The Community TV) and We The Veterans, as a host and actress also, where she gained acting experience in her first independent movie role and also worked on her first music video “Day to Day,” in 2015.

Monique Lynelle was a finalist for the Ms. Veteran America competition, which benefits the Final Salute Inc. organization. The organization helps at risk and homeless female veterans and their children get back on their feet. Monique Lynelle was a 2016 finalist for the Presidential Management Fellowship (PMF) program. Monique Lynelle was a foster care parent from September 2018 to the end of January 2019 to help give back to her community, and she participates in various community service activities, such as, Divine Discipleship for Sister's (DDS), 2015 to 2017. In the 2017-2018 season, she started with the Facilitator in Training (FIT) team and has decided to return in the fall of 2019. In the 2016-2017 season, she volunteered as an Assistant to the Facilitator (ATF) and the events team at First Baptist Church of Glenarden, (FBCG). As of 2017, Monique was certified as an Altar Counselor and served with the Willing Worker's Ministry in 2016 at FBCG. Also, Monique Lynelle has volunteered for the “American Cancer Society” with the “Look Good…Feel Better” program in 2011 and 2012, which helps women with cancer learn about skin and hair care, along with the application of make-up. She participated in breast cancer walks for the “American Cancer Society”, and has donated for the past few years 2009, 2010, and in 2011 became the team leader for “Making Strides against Breast Cancer.” She walked in the “Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church - Fit for Eternity walk/run” in the summer of 2011. She has donated to the Pennsylvania’s Chief of Police organization in 2011, and she also has donated to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in the spring 2011 and 2012.  She attended, and donated to the AIDS walk in 2009. Monique Lynelle was involved in the sickle cell anemia event/fundraiser and walk in 2011, and plans to continue to be involved in the community. She has donated to the “Covenant House” in 2009, 2010 which is an organization to help young adults have shelter and prepare them for the work force, since that time she has donated other items to that organization. The Good Neighbor Program with the United States Army in South Korea, 2008 and 2009.

She attended the ECMA (Excellence in Christian Music Academy) in 2014.  She was a licensed cosmetologist for 18 years.  After attending Dudley Beauty College in Washington D.C. and completed the required 1500 hours in December 1999, she went to Germany as a hair stylist and worked on Rhein-Main Airforce Base in 2000, and was licensed in Washington D.C the same year.  By 2002, Monique Lynelle was also able to receive licenses in both Maryland and Pennsylvania.  In February 2011 she was able to complete the Master Educator’s Program at Empire Beauty School in Philadelphia, PA.  In June 2012, she become a licensed cosmetology instructor in Pennsylvania.

In Aug 2012, Monique Lynelle participated in the "Big Beautiful Women's Pageant" and in Nov 2010 and Nov 2011 she modeled in John Blassingame's “14th and 15th Annual Hype Hair Magazine Natural Beauty Contest” as a semi-finalist. She modeled in the “Experts the Image, LLC” “Eleganza-BRINGING OUT THE MODEL IN YOU” - fashion show, in August 2011.  In 2011, she styled hair for Temple University’s “NAACP/Dynasty” fashion show, while also styling hair for a few of “VX Fashions” fashion shows in 2010 and 2011. She competed in “Glynn Jackson’s Golden Scissors Awards" 2010, and won the “Lottabody Lottastyle” contest in December 2010. Monique Lynelle was a finalist in the "Master of Beauty Contest" in 2011. She was also an extra in Charles S. Dutton's film entitled "Must Be the Music." 

In 2001, Monique helped start a program that fed the homeless in Washington D.C, while she lived in that area, which turned into a ministry that her father, the late Harold L. Gray Sr., ended up taking it to the next level.  The program branched out and became a community service activity for some of the surrounding colleges in Washington DC, which helped feed the homeless for about 7 years, every Monday night, but unfortunately the program dissolved shortly after her father's death in 2008.  

Monique Lynelle's goal in life is to be successful and to help others reach their goals.  Another goal in her life is to visit every continent in the world, so far she traveled to four Continent’s including the U.S., Africa (Nigeria), Europe (Germany), and Asia (South Korea).  She is available for book signings, speaking engagements, and singing engagements, to host or act for film or television.
